Poole Business Improvement District (BID) has been confirmed as the headline sponsor for this year’s line-up of events on Poole Quay.
They include Car Nights, Bike Nights (formerly Dream Machines), Folk Festival, Mini Steam on the Quay and Summer Sounds.
The events are now fully under the leadership of Poole Quay Events Community Interest Company (CIC).
2024 marked a transition period as BCP Council formally handed over the reins to Poole Quay Events which is in its first full year as a CIC.
The 2025 event season opens with Bike Nights from early next month.
Organisers are keen to hear from potential sponsors, partners, and volunteers who want to play a role in keeping Poole’s event calendar alive and growing.
Jacqui Rock, CEO of Poole BID, said: “Poole Quay Events are an integral part of our town’s culture, bringing people together and boosting local businesses.
“We are proud to be the headline sponsor and to support the team as they take full ownership of these much-loved events.
“But this is truly a community effort, and we encourage other local businesses to get involved and ensure these traditions continue to flourish.”
Anna Doyle, Co-Founder of Poole Quay Events CIC, said: “Poole Quay has a rich history of events that bring people together, and it’s more important than ever to keep that going.
“Now that we’re fully running these events as a CIC, we need the backing of businesses and the community to make them bigger and better.
“We welcome anyone who wants to be part of this journey with us.”
Michelle Smith, Fellow Co-Founder, added: “These events belong to the people of Poole, and we’re proud to lead them forward with the support of Poole BID and our fantastic local businesses.
“We’re calling on others to join us in ensuring Poole Quay remains a vibrant destination by sponsoring or supporting these events in any way they can.”
