A dog owner from Ayrshire in Scotland who is trying to trace his missing pet has travelled to Bournemouth following a possible sighting.
Vishal Lal is offering a £20,000 reward for the safe return of Bear, a three-year-old Pomeranian, who disappeared from his back garden in January.
He says Bear, who he fears has been stolen, is much more than just a much-loved pet.
Vishal told Bournemouth One: “He got me through rehab, when I came out of rehab, kept me sober for more than 500 days – I’ve now relapsed – and I need him back safely.
“Please if you see him, there’s a £20,000 reward for his safe return.
“I took him everywhere, it’s like losing a right arm, a right leg or part of your body because he was my trained service dog, my trained anxiety dog.”
Vishal says any information on Bear’s whereabouts will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
