
A 43-year-old man has died following a crash in Ferndown on the A31 last night.
The driver, from West Sussex, died at the scene after sustaining serious injuries.
Police were called to the incident at around 8.45pm on Saturday 22 February 2025 of a collision on the Ameysford Roundabout involving a white Peugeot 308.
Road closures from multiple directions in the area were in place while officers carried out a detailed examination of the scene.
Police Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of the man at this difficult time and we have specially trained officers supporting them.
“This incident occurred on a very busy stretch of the A31 and I understand there were a number of motorists in the area who may have seen what happened.
“I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may have captured any dashcam footage to contact us.
“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience with the road closures while we investigate the scene.”
