Tom Hayes MP marked Valentine’s Day with a visit to Bournemouth Heart Club, a vital charity supporting cardiac and long-term health recovery.
The club provides specialist exercise classes to help individuals recover from heart conditions and manage Type 2 Diabetes, with 85% of diabetes participants reporting improved health.
During his visit, Mr Hayes met with Dr. Adrian Rozkovec and the club’s management team, toured the facility, and heard members’ success stories.
“Bournemouth Heart Club is invaluable in supporting cardiovascular health,” said Tom Hayes. “It’s about recovery, confidence, and long-term well-being.”
Club Manager Caroline Marshall emphasised the shift towards preventative care, keeping people out of hospitals. The club supports 750 members with 45 weekly classes and also runs the Keep Well programme, extending services to carers and those with qualifying health conditions.
Tom Hayes’ visit highlighted the club’s crucial role in community health and preventative care.
