A motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for injuries reported to be serious following a collision on Castle Lane West.
Dorset Police received a report at 5.40pm on Tuesday 11 February 2025 of an incident involving a blue Toyota Corolla and a Keeway motorcycle near to the junction with Cox Avenue.
Emergency services attended and road closures were put in place to allow for a safe but thorough assessment of the scene.
Police Sergeant Chris Brolan, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision to establish the full circumstances and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have seen either of the vehicles before the incident or captured relevant dashcam footage.
“Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to this incident and I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during this period.”
