The body of a woman in her 80s has been found in the river off Belle Vue Road in Bournemouth on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services attended including Police and ambulance crews.
Dorset Police say they received a report at 9.21am on Tuesday 29 October 2024 regarding the incident and attended the scene, putting a corden in place near Tuckton Tea Gardens.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 09:25hrs on Monday 29 October to an incident in Bournemouth.
“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and an operations officer to the scene.”
Dorset Police added: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and the woman’s next of kin has been informed. The coroner has also been notified.
“Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time.”
