Emergency services respond to reports of a teenage girl falling from bridge near Alum Chine

Emergency services have responded to an incident near West Overcliff Drive in which a teenage girl was reported to have fallen from a footbridge at Alum Chine.

A cordon was put in place and an Air Ambulance landed at the scene, where the girl received treatment.

Dorset Police told Bournemouth One: “At 3.33pm on Thursday 10 October 2024 Dorset Police received a report of a concern for welfare about a teenage girl on a footbridge in the Alum Chine area of Poole.

“It was further reported that the girl has fallen from the bridge. Emergency services are at the scene and road closures have been put in place.”

The road remains closed in both directions.

Dorset Police added: “The girl is being treated by the ambulance service, we do not have any further condition update at this time.”
