Lewis Manning’s Candles on the Lake initiative returns to Poole Park for 7th year running

The small lake in Poole Park is set to be transformed into a sea of bright candles once again as Lewis Manning’s Candles on the Lake initiative returns.

The evening event is taking place on October 19th and will provides an opportunity to celebrate, remember, and reflect on loved ones.

The Boscombe Salvation Army Band and The Funky Little Choir will provide the music, and participants can also dedicate a message on a candle that will be floated on the lake, creating a magical and moving display of light and love.

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care Events Fundraiser, Anna DuRose: “This wonderful event offers local people the opportunity to come together to reflect, celebrate, and remember their loved ones by writing a personal dedication on our popular candle boxes, which will be floated in a mesmerizing display.

“Funds raised from our event will enable us to continue offering our Bereavement and Family Support services to local people in our community.

“A suggested donation of £6 per candle will directly support Lewis-Manning’s Bereavement and Family Support services, ensuring the continuation of vital support to those in need within the community.”

Anyone wishing to take part is urged to pre order a candle here.

Candles will also be available to purchase on the evening of the event.
