Three people taken to hospital with serious injuries after two-car road traffic collision

Police investigating a road traffic collision which resulted in three people being taken to hospital with serious injuries have appealed for witnesses or dashcam footage.

A black Audi A1 collided with a blue Vauxhall Zafira near The Pure Drop Inn in Wimborne Road East, Ferndown, on Monday night at around 9.30pm.

A 20-year-old man from Wimborne Minster, an 18-year-old man from Ferndown and the driver of the Vauxhall Zafira all received serious injuries.

Earlier the Audi had failed to stop for police officers in the area of the Canford Bottom roundabout before it made off towards Stapehill.

Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: “This road traffic collision resulted in serious injuries to those involved and we are continuing to conduct enquiries to establish the full circumstances of how it occurred.

“I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who were driving in the vicinity and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
