A flood alert has been issued as strong winds and heavy rain batter Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
The Environment Agency says Studland Bay, Sandbanks, Poole Harbour, Bournemouth Beach, Hengistbury Head and Christchurch Harbour are at risk of flooding.
The Met Office has also put in place a yellow wind warning until six o’clock tonight.
It warns there could be wind gusts of up to 63 miles an hour, accompanied by heavy, squally showers.
Forecasters have warned that road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected.
