Person struck by train at Pokesdown for Boscombe railway station

South Western Railway is reporting a person has been struck by a train at Pokesdown for Boscombe station.

Power has been switched on the track off whilst emergency services attend the incident, meaning all train services running through the station may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

An update from SWT says: “We have received reports that a person has been struck by a train at Pokesdown. Our response teams are working with the emergency services to assist with the incident.

“In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all power to the track will need to be switched off in the affected area.

“Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 15:00 13/02.”
