Several areas including Studland Bay, Sandbanks, Poole Harbour, Bournemouth Beach, Hengistbury Head and Christchurch Harbour are at risk of flooding.
The Environment Agency has put in place a flood alert following higher than usual tides due to unsettled weather with north-northwesterly force 4 winds and large waves.
The higher tides are expected over the next two days with further alerts and warnings possible.
People are asked to be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
