Mopping up operation underway after Storm Henk brings chaos to Dorset
Dorset is mopping up today after strong winds and heavy rain from Storm Henk brought chaos to the county.
There were numerous reports of trees blocking roads. Some motorists spent up to three hours in queues after the closure of the Christchurch bypass.
Rail services were cancelled with South Western Railway agreeing to pay for taxis for passengers holding a valid ticket.
A flood alert remains in place this morning for Studland Bay, Sandbanks, Poole Harbour, Bournemouth Beach, Hengistbury Head and Christchurch Harbour.
