A three-year-old girl has been bitten on her leg by a dog at the bus shelter opposite The Pilot pub in Adastral Road in Canford Heath, Poole.
Police are investigating the incident that happened around 5.15pm on Tuesday 15 November 2022.
The woman with the dog denied it had bit her and left the scene without giving her details.
UPDATE 4PM: A woman has come forward following an appeal in relation to a report of a dog bite incident in Poole.
She is described as aged in her 70s, white, around five feet two inches tall and of medium build with short white curly hair. She was wearing a dark-coloured coat with the hood up.
There were also two women at the bus stop, one of whom had a predominantly white Jack Russell.
Police Constable Jennie Sykes-Martin, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and as we have now obtained full details from the victim’s mother, I am in a position to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact us.
“I would also urge the woman involved to please do the right thing and get in touch with us so we can take your account of what happened.”
