Four-vehicle collision closed Ringwood Road in Verwood for four hours

A multi-vehicle collision in Verwood closed the B3081 Ringwood Road for four hours on Monday evening.

Four cars were involved in the incident between Woodlinken Drive and Lake Road, with no major injuries reported.

It happened just after 5pm and caused traffic congestion as rush-hour traffic diverted around the incident.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police told VerwoodToday: “At 5.19pm on Monday 1 July 2024, Dorset Police received a report of a four-vehicle road traffic collision on the B3081 Ringwood Road in Verwood.

“Officers attended with the ambulance and fire services, and the local authority were informed. The road was temporarily blocked. Minor injuries were reported.

“Arrangements for the recovery of the vehicles was arranged. Officers left the scene at around 9.30pm.”
