School-run delays expected as roadworks appear on Margards Lane

Roadworks in Verwood are expected to cause school-run delays for up to two weeks.

The work at the top of Margards Lane, at its junction with Church Hill, is to connect storm drains from a new nursery to the water network.

It started on Monday 4th March and is scheduled to last till Friday 15th March.

Multi-way traffic lights are in operation 24 hours a day, and footpaths remain open.

Construction on the Happy Days Nursery started in 2022 and is expected to be completed soon. It received planning permission in summer 2021 despite 30 objections from local residents.
