Tesla is making plans to move into the former Porsche garage on New Road in Ferndown.
Planning permission has been sought to display illuminated Tesla signs on the building, erect a totem and flags, and install eight Superchargers for Tesla owners to use.
Porsche has recently moved to a brand new unit on Ferndown Industrial Estate, although has named its new place as Porsche Centre Bournemouth.
The Tesla plot will be operated as a service centre and showroom, along with four wall-mounted Destination Chargers.
The move will be welcomed by the growing number of Tesla owners who currently need to travel to Winchester for their nearest service facilities.
