The B3081 Verwood Road is closed between Ebblake and the A31 at Ringwood due to a fallen tree.
UPDATE: 7.40am – The road has now reopened.
The road is blocked in both directions at Bakers Hanging following bad weather overnight.
Work is underway shortly to remove the tree but for now, the main alternative routes south are via the B3072 through Three Legged Cross and Ashley Heath, or via Alderholt/Fordingbridge B3078 and the A338.
Verwood Road was expected to be closed all next week for tree cutting work to make the area safer but this has been postponed.
