Simon Hoare remains the MP for Verwood and North Dorset after holding his seat in the 2019 General Election.

35,705 people voted for the Conservatives in the constituency giving a Tory vote share of 63.6%.

The Liberal Democrats came in second place, as David Chadwick received 11,404 votes (20.3% share) and Pat Osborne got 6,737 votes, or 12% for Labour.

The Green Party with Ken Huggins at the helm in North Dorset got 2,261 votes, or 4% share.

Across the country, Boris Johnson will remain Prime Minister as the Conservatives win an overall majority, Jeremy Corbyn says he will not lead Labour into the next election, and Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson loses her seat to the SNP.
