{"id":71722,"date":"2024-01-10T09:34:37","date_gmt":"2024-01-10T09:34:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.bournemouthone.com\/?p=71722"},"modified":"2024-01-10T10:01:39","modified_gmt":"2024-01-10T10:01:39","slug":"just-the-answer-to-those-unwanted-christmas-gifts-as-charity-launches-month-long-amnesty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.bournemouthone.com\/test\/just-the-answer-to-those-unwanted-christmas-gifts-as-charity-launches-month-long-amnesty\/","title":{"rendered":"Just the answer to those unwanted Christmas gifts as charity launches month-long amnesty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dorset&#8217;s Diverse Abilities has come up with an answer to unwanted Christmas gifts.<\/p>\n<p>The disability charity is repurposing them as raffle and auction lots for its fundraising events this year.<\/p>\n<p>The Great Christmas Present Amnesty takes place throughout January.<\/p>\n<p>Unwanted and new items can be donated including beauty products, shower gel sets, cookbooks, alcohol, food hampers and more.<\/p>\n<p>The only exclusions are electrical products.<\/p>\n<p>Francesca Potton, Community Fundraiser, said: \u201cWe\u2019ve all received that one present from a distant relative that doesn\u2019t know you all that well, or even received duplicates of the same thing because some people know you really well!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese presents don\u2019t need to linger in the back of the cupboard anymore as we will make good use of them throughout the year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gifts can be dropped off at the Diverse Abilities Head Office, above Langside School, on weekdays between 10am and 3pm.<\/p>\n<p>The school\u2019s address is Langside School, Langside Avenue, Poole, BH12 5BN.
