{"id":57234,"date":"2022-11-01T15:57:54","date_gmt":"2022-11-01T15:57:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dorset.news\/?p=57234"},"modified":"2022-12-17T09:48:45","modified_gmt":"2022-12-17T09:48:45","slug":"sandbank-ferry-out-of-service-for-the-month-of-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.bournemouthone.com\/test\/sandbank-ferry-out-of-service-for-the-month-of-november\/","title":{"rendered":"Sandbank Ferry out of service for the month of November"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sandbanks ferry service is closed for at least four weeks during the month of November.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The ferry is undergoing a planned refit so no crossing is available to vehicles or foot passengers between Sandbanks and Studland.<\/p>\n<p>Crossings are hoped to be running again in early December, but will be confirmed nearer the time and is subject to the weather.<\/p>\n<p>The ferry undergoes a refit every two years and alternates between major and minor refits. This month it will be towed to Falmouth and undergo a dry dock major refit.<\/p>\n<p>During refit, the Ferry Office is closed for both phone calls and visits from the public. If you need to contact the company, email mail@sandbanksferry.co.uk.<\/p>\n<p>Jason du Toit, the ferry\u2019s Managing Director, said: \u201cAs with everything, the better we care for the ferry, the fewer disruptions to service we will have.
