{"id":38251,"date":"2022-01-11T19:24:45","date_gmt":"2022-01-11T19:24:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/?p=33148"},"modified":"2022-01-11T19:24:45","modified_gmt":"2022-01-11T19:24:45","slug":"verwood-lidl-plans-to-demolish-bungalow-to-extend-car-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.bournemouthone.com\/test\/verwood-lidl-plans-to-demolish-bungalow-to-extend-car-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Verwood Lidl plans to demolish bungalow to extend car park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lidl has notified authorities that it plans to extend its car park at the new Verwood store by demolishing 1 Shard Close.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The bungalow, which is adjacent to the new store on Ringwood Road, is a single detached dwelling house with an associated attached garage.<\/p>\n<p>It sits at the end of Shard Close, which has just four properties along its short length.<\/p>\n<p>Documents shared by Dorset Council reveal demolition of this residential property is permitted development, but Lidl&#8217;s consultants are now seeking a determination of whether the Council\u2019s prior approval is required for the means of demolition of the building.<\/p>\n<p>The predicted duration of the project is three weeks, with work being carried out between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am till 1pm Saturdays.<\/p>\n<p>The store, <a href=\"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/2021\/12\/in-pictures-opening-day-at-verwoods-new-lidl-supermarket\/\">which only opened last month<\/a>, was built on a former caravan store and two residential properties (76 and 78 Ringwood Road) covering a total area of 1.6 acres.<\/p>\n<p>The car park currently provides 79 free bays of which 6 are disabled spaces and 6 are parent and child spaces at the front of the property.
