Five Newcastle United fans are due to appear in court charged in connection with a reported pitch encroachment at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday 16 March 2019 during AFC Bournemouth\u2019s home game against Newcastle.<\/p>\n
It is alleged one female steward sustained an injury to her nose during the reported incident. Enquiries are underway to ascertain whether an assault took place. <\/p>\n
Six men and a 14-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of going onto the playing area at a football match from the away supporters stand. Five of the men were also arrested on suspicion of assault. <\/p>\n
An 18-year-old man from Newcastle, 29-year-old man from Berwick-upon-Tweed, 31-year-old man from Alnwick, Northumberland, and a 40-year-old man from Newcastle have been charged with going onto the playing area at a football match and are due to appear at Poole Magistrates\u2019 Court on Tuesday 2 April 2019. They have been released under investigation in relation to the assault charge. <\/p>\n
A 24-year-old man from Andover in Hampshire has been charged with going onto the playing area at a football match and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates\u2019 Court on Tuesday 2 April 2019.<\/p>\n
A 14-year-old boy from Bournemouth who was arrested on suspicion of going onto the playing area at a football match has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.<\/p>\n
