{"id":25175,"date":"2021-04-01T17:34:33","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T16:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/?p=25175"},"modified":"2021-04-01T17:34:33","modified_gmt":"2021-04-01T16:34:33","slug":"verwood-gets-a-covering-of-sahara-desert-dust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.bournemouthone.com\/test\/verwood-gets-a-covering-of-sahara-desert-dust\/","title":{"rendered":"Verwood gets a covering of Sahara desert dust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Verwood got a slight covering of dust from the Sahara desert on Thursday lunchtime.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The results of the short shower of sand and dust can be seen on cars, garden furniture and more around the area. <\/p>\n<p>It happened around 12:45pm and only lasted a few minutes, before making its way to other parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/sahara-dust-1.png\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/sahara-dust-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25178\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The dust has been making headlines in the last few days, causing hazy skies across the south of England after being swept north by high winds.<\/p>\n<p>One resident told VerwoodToday.co.uk: &#8220;I was amazed to hear the rain whilst I was working as it was such a lovely day and I wasn\u2019t expecting. I couldn\u2019t believe it when I went outside to the car and saw it covered in dust spots!
