{"id":11278,"date":"2019-11-28T15:40:09","date_gmt":"2019-11-28T15:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/?p=11278"},"modified":"2019-11-28T15:40:09","modified_gmt":"2019-11-28T15:40:09","slug":"harlees-go-green-with-new-fryer-and-solar-panels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.bournemouthone.com\/test\/harlees-go-green-with-new-fryer-and-solar-panels\/","title":{"rendered":"Harlees go green with new fryer and solar panels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Improvements works are currently taking place at Harlees Fish and Chip shop in Verwood to install a more energy-efficient fryer and solar panels on its roof.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The changes mean the shop is currently closed but the owners hope it will be back open before the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The chippy applied and was accepted for a Dorset Carbon Grant, which can be used by any Dorset business towards improving their carbon footprint.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/verwoodtoday.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG-20191125-WA0001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11280\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Director Kaylee Herbert told VerwoodToday: &#8220;We applied for funding for 6 kWp PV (solar panels) on the roof of the shop and a new Kiremko (KFE) frying range to replace our range that was 17 years old. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our new range has a bigger capacity and updated technology making it more energy-efficient, reducing our gas usage.
