Detectives investigating a report of sexual assault in Bournemouth town centre are appealing for information and are looking for a man they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred at around 5.40pm on Sunday 13 June 2021 in the Lower Gardens. <\/p>\n

The victim, a 16-year-old girl, was walking with a friend from the beach toward the town centre when they were approached by a group of men. One of the group asked the victim if she wanted to go for a chat and led her to an area of bushes near to the crazy golf site, where he sexually assaulted her.<\/p>\n

Detective Inspector Amy Burbidge, of Bournemouth CID, said: \u201cWe have launched a full investigation into this incident and the victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of our investigation, we have obtained images of a man we would like to speak to as part of our enquiries and I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please come forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would also ask that anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any further information that might assist our investigation, please contacts us.<\/p>\n

\u201cLocal officers will be carrying out increased patrols in the area and can be approached by members of the public with any concerns.\u201d<\/p>\n
