A new Wetherspoons pub will open at the former Smugglers Haunt site in Ferndown next month.
The Cranborne Hundred is due to open on Tuesday 18 August at the Ringwood Road premises, which were previously occupied by the Beefeater restaurant.
The Smugglers Haunt was among Beefeater locations affected by closures across the country, leaving the Ferndown building available for another operator to take over.
Premier Inn continues to operate on the same site.
The opening will also mark Wetherspoon’s return to the town after Ferndown’s previous branch, The Nightjar, permanently closed in September 2023.
Wetherspoon will replace the former restaurant with a pub and introduce a new identity for the site, which is based at Ringwood Road, Ferndown, BH22 9BB.
The Cranborne Hundred name refers to the historic administrative area around Cranborne, giving the venue a local connection as the building begins its next chapter.
