A housing development in West Parley has been named the South West winner in the Best Large Builder category at the first Homebuilder Safety Awards.
Kingsmere Park, built by Bellway, includes homes ranging from one and two-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom houses and was recognised for its commitment to maintaining strong safety standards on site.
Senior site manager Dave Murnane said the whole team works hard to keep colleagues, contractors, customers and visitors safe, and that achieving high standards requires constant attention and shared commitment. Construction Director David Baily said the judging process is rigorous and added that the award reflects the level of safety embedded in the development.
The awards were created to acknowledge site teams helping to raise safety standards across the sector. Bellway received several regional awards nationally and was also highly commended for further sites in England and Scotland.
Kingsmere Park will eventually include three hundred and eighty-six homes along with public open space, play areas and allotments.
