Festive hike to aid mountain projects
A festive 13-mile charity hike through the Dorset countryside will take place next month to raise funds for the Nimsdai Foundation’s mountain community projects.
The Ho Ho Ho Hike sets off from St Cuthburga’s Church in Wimborne Minster at 10am on Saturday 13 December, finishing at The Rising Sun Inn in East Street.
The walk marks the foundation’s first ever festive event and invites participants to dress up as elves, reindeer or simply wear their favourite Christmas jumpers. Along the way, walkers can enjoy mulled wine, soft drinks and mince pies while taking in the winter scenery.
The Nimsdai Foundation supports communities living in mountain regions through education, health and environmental projects.
A spokesperson said the hike is a fun way to get active, connect with others and make a real difference for those living in challenging conditions.
People can register to take part and help raise funds for the foundation’s 2026 projects by visiting nimsdaifoundation.org/ho-ho-ho-hike.
