Steve Tully has been appointed to the vacant manager’s position at Poole Town FC in a deal that will keep him at the club to the end of next season.
In addition, former Poole Town player Luke Burbidge has returned as Assistant Manager.
The club said in a statement: “Steve has in his locker a stellar list of factors that made him a compelling candidate for the role. He had a long and successful professional career with 300 plus appearances for Exeter, 106 for Torquay and 130 for Weymouth.
“He joined Truro City in 2013 as a player then managed between 2014 and 2016 when they won the Southern League Premier Division title and then finished fourth in the NLS.
“He then moved on to a full time position with Exeter City then onto Bristol Rovers as their u18 Professional Development Coach.
“He has been keen to return to semi-professional club management and we are delighted he has agreed to come to us. He will be in the dugout against Hungerford for his first game.
“As for Luke—already a Dolphins legend with 269 appearances and 59 goals in our colours. He knows the Club and is respected by all who know him.
“Welcome Steve and welcome back Luke.”
