Bournemouth man David Haze is swapping paddle boarding for cycling this weekend.
The eight-time world record holder is riding 250 kilometres from Portsmouth to Paris on a Beryl bike.
He aims to raise at least £500 for the mental health charity, Dorset Mind.
The full-time adventurer, who’s better known for stand-up paddle boarding, says he hopes to also raise awareness of mental health support.
He’ll be ‘wild camping’ during his journey, sleeping and cooking on the side of the road.
David said: “Life has presented its challenges, particularly in my struggles with mental health, but I’ve managed to overcome these obstacles and persevere.
“Charities like Dorset Mind have played a crucial role in my journey and have helped many more.”
