Emmanuel makes face coverings mandatory for children

Face coverings are to be worn by all children and adults entering Emmanuel CE Middle School starting this week.

Pupils and staff will need to wear them entering the school grounds, when they are moving between lessons, are on duty or at classroom doors/school gates.

Any adult entering the school grounds will also be required to wear a face covering, following the introduction of the policy by Wimborne Academy Trust.

All schools under the WAT will follow the same rules, including Verwood First School and Hillside First School, although children at these schools will not need to wear a face-covering at this time.

In a letter to parents, school bosses say at the end of every lesson, end of break/lunch, end of the day pupils will be asked to put their face covering/mask on until they have reached their classroom or left
the school site.

Children are requested to wear a plain face covering from the start of term on Tuesday 3rd November, and by Thursday 5th November at the latest if one needs to be obtained.
