Man dies following collision in Ferndown

A man involved in a road traffic collision in Ferndown last week has died from his injuries.

The local man in his 70s was taken to hospital on the afternoon of Saturday 26th September after a yellow Alfa Romeo Spider collided with a gate at the entrance to the Dudsbury Golf Club off the B3073 Christchurch Road.

Sergeant Lee Savage, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the man’s family and loved ones at this very difficult
time.

“Enquiries into this collision remain ongoing and I would appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to officers to please contact Dorset Police.

“I would also ask anyone who was travelling in the area at the relevant time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police via email SCIT@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 26:235.

A week earlier, another man in his 70s was killed after a similar incident in Ferndown town centre.
