Ward Goodman acquires Dorset practice

A Dorset financial services firm has expanded with the acquisition of a long established accountancy practice.

Ward Goodman, which operates from offices in Ferndown and Shaftesbury, has merged with the practice of chartered accountant Graham Latham, who joins the firm as a consultant alongside a portfolio of around 100 clients built up over more than 25 years.

The agreement brings together two experienced teams and strengthens the company’s advisory offer, while ensuring clients continue working with Graham and also gain access to wider services including Financial Director on Demand and Fractional Financial Director support.

Group Managing Director Alex Foster said Graham’s reputation had been built on a highly personalised approach and added that the two businesses share a focus on supporting both individuals and their companies at every stage of their development.

Graham said maintaining a single point of contact for clients was important to him, explaining that many have worked with him for 26 years or longer and that he wanted them to continue receiving the same level of personal service.

The acquisition forms part of Ward Goodman’s refreshed strategy as it approaches 70 years in business and continues to grow its financial planning, wealth management and business advisory services across Dorset and Hampshire.
