£700 worth of cigarettes stolen from Verwood Co-op store
Dorset Police officers investigating the theft of cigarettes from a store in Verwood have issued CCTV images of the suspects.
Two women entered the Co-op store on Ringwood Road at around 3.05pm on Tuesday 9 April 2019 and confused the cashier, claiming they had paid for cigarettes the day before and had come to collect them. They made off with around £700-worth of cigarettes and other items without paying.
The women were reportedly seen to get into a navy blue people carrier, possibly a Citroen C8 or a Peugeot 807.
Police Sergeant Carmel Ryan, of Dorset Police, said: “We have obtained CCTV of the suspects from the store and have made efforts to identity them but have so far been unsuccessful.
“I am now issuing the CCTV in the hope that someone might have information as to their identity.”
