Live: Bath Road is congested in both directions in Bournemouth

Update: This incident has now cleared and the information below may no longer be relevant

Bath Road in Bournemouth is congested in both directions due to summer traffic along with all surrounding routes.

This incident was first reported on Bournemouth One on Sunday (10/08/2025 1:00pm).

In general, Bournemouth Town Centre is very slow-moving, especially towards the beach, with Bath Road and Exeter Road congested.

In Boscombe it’s a similar story around Sea Road, The Marina, Owls Road and Saint John’s Road.

On Sandbanks, the queue for the Ferry is back to the main car park. And in Christchurch, busy around Stour Road and Tuckton Bridge.

The A35 is also closed west of Dorchester following a crash this morning, and restrictions are still in place around Holt Heath and Three Legged Cross due to the ongoing fire.
