Man arrested after car crashes into house in Bournemouth

A man has been arrested and taken to hospital after a car crashed into a house in Bournemouth.

The incident, which happened on Sunday evening in Cranleigh Road, Southbourne, involved two vehicles and was reported around 8pm.

Nobody in the house was injured.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police told us: “At 7.49pm on Sunday 7 July 2024 Dorset Police received a report of a collision in Cranleigh Road in Bournemouth, involving two vehicles which subsequently collided with a house.

“Officers attended the incident with the ambulance and fire services.

“One person has been arrested and taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area as officers carry out further enquiries. We would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding as emergency services dealt with the incident.”
