Morebus has introduced six new buses on its X3 route between Bournemouth and Salisbury.
The new double decker Alexander Dennis E400 MMC vehicles cost £1.8 million.
They have a different style of seating, low emission engines and USB charging points for smartphones and hand-held devices.
The bus company will be handing out goody bags at the X3 stand in Ringwood next Tuesday, June 18, to mark their arrival.
Andrew Wickham, Morebus Managing Director, said: “We have updated these vehicles with a different style of seating to make them more spacious and comfortable than ever, and each has the latest Euro 6 low emissions engine.
“They also sport on-board technology – offering USB charging points for smartphones and hand-held devices, and contactless ‘tap on tap off’ ticketing facilities.
“This new investment is all part of our commitment to making bus travel more attractive for those living in and visiting the region.
“With just one fully loaded double decker having the potential to take up to 75 cars off our roads, we’re keen to do all we can to reduce congestion and improve air quality.”
“We look forward to meeting our customers next week at Salisbury Market and by the X3 stand in Ringwood, Meeting House Lane on 18 June between 9am and 2pm.
“Come along, say hello and ask any questions you may have about our services.”
