A cyclist was seriously injured after a collision with a car in Bournemouth.
The man, who is in his 30s, was riding his bike in Christchurchurch Road at the junction with Walpole Road at about 6.20pm last night.
The driver of the car, a white Volkswagen cc coupe, was not injured.
Road closures were put in place while emergency services treated the injured man and police examined the scene.
Officers have appealed to anyone seeing the incident or who may have dashcam footage, to contact them.
Police Constable Steve Eastwood, of the traffic unit, said: “We are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
“I am appealing for any witnesses to the collision who have not already spoken with officers to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle and was in the area at the time to check whether they may have captured anything of relevance to assist our investigation.
“Finally, I would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during the road closure.”
