Police appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after two-car collision in Corfe Mullen

A man in his 70s was taken to hospital with serious – but not life-threatening – injuries after a two-car collision in Corfe Mullen just before 9.30am yesterday.

He was driving a grey Skoda Fabia which was in collision with a beige Volkswagen Beetle on Lockyers Road, at the junction with Roman Heights.

The driver of the Beetle, a Poole woman aged in her 40s, was checked over at the scene by the ambulance service.

She’s not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to contact them.

Police Constable Billy Forster, of East Dorset police, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists with dashcam fitted to their vehicle who were in the area and may have captured relevant footage.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240010987.

Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
