One lane remains closed on the A31 between Burley and Ringwood pending emergency drainage work.
The westbound lane has been closed, causing long delays at peak times across the New Forest, for the past seven days.
National Highways has confirmed the lane will remain closed tonight with a view to removing the closure sometime between Wednesday and Thursday (25th/26th January).
