A31 blocked at Ashley Heath after lorry hits bridge

A lorry has crashed into a footbridge on the A31 eastbound between St Ives and the Ashley Heath roundabout.
The road was blocked for over an hour and delays are building on the A31 from Ferndown to Ringwood.
UPDATE: 5PM Both ways now closed after reports of another accident on the westbound carriage way.
Dorset Police says: “We received a report at 3.30pm on Thursday 31 March 2022 that a lorry had collided with a bridge on the A31 near to the Ashley Heath roundabout.
“It is reported that the lorry had overturned. Officers are in attendance with the fire and ambulance services. One lane is closed. There are slight injuries reported.”
