The B3081 Station Road is currently closed whilst South West Water carries out some work in the area.
The road is not passable for drivers in both directions from Romford Bridge to Sutton Hill Camp Site, with Road Closure signs in place on either end.
Work is set to be completed by Wednesday, 1st April.
Despite the signs, there are reports of large vehicles getting stuck at the closure point on Monday morning.
Residents at Albion Way, Dewlands Road and Pine View Road are able to access their homes as normal from Station Road.
A diversion is signposted.
