Christmas is officially back in Bournemouth with the opening of Christmas Tree Wonderland today.
With over 100 illuminations to discover, this free festive trail is bigger and better than ever before!
At the heart of the Christmas trail – taking visitors from Lansdowne to the Triangle, Bournemouth Square, the Lower Gardens and the seafront – is the 60ft walk-through Bournemouth Wonderland Tree; a popular favourite among visitors. Other installations on show include a giant santa, a colour changing tree, reindeer, polar bears, and even gingerbread people!
Christmas Tree Wonderland has been made possible thanks to BCP Council, Bournemouth Town Centre BID and Coastal BID who have brought this magical Christmas event to life.
If you plan to visit, why not take a South Western Railway train down to Bournemouth then hop on a Yellow Bus to the Town Centre, or if you’re driving, park and PaybyPhone to explore Christmas Tree Wonderland’s trail of illuminations.
As well as the light trail, there are plenty of other attractions that will get you in the Christmas spirit. You can enjoy a ride on the carousel overlooking the seafront, or showcase your skills on the outdoor SKATE ice rink in the Lower Gardens and afterwards enjoy a tipple at Moguls Bar next to the ice rink.
In the square, the traditional Christmas Market returns – why not use your Chase digital bank account card to purchase festive trinkets or sip warmed mulled wine in the Alpine Bar while catching up with friends.
These are just some of the attractions making Bournemouth THE place to be this Christmas, so come on down and have some cracking fun!
