Two cases of Coronavirus confirmed at Queen Elizabeth’s
Two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at QE School in Wimborne resulting in some year nine students having to self-isolate.
One of the students testing positive for the coronavirus is in Stuart House, Year Nine, whilst the other is in York House, meaning all schoolchildren from the two settings are now staying at home for two weeks.
The school will remain open for all other attendees as lessons continue as normal.
Letters were sent to parents on Sunday evening informing them of the situation.
The school has been working with Public Health England South West and Dorset Council to ensure the premises are COVID-secure and operating within government guidelines.
