In photos: Verwood shops enforce new visiting rules

Stores in Verwood and around the UK are enforcing new rules for those shoppers visiting for essential items.

New measures to slow down the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 mean a limited amount of people in stores at any one time along with a one in one out policy.

There are also marked areas outside each shop where customers will have to queue, two metres apart from each other.

It’s a sobering sight – but local residents have no choice but to comply.

New rules from the Government stipulate that retailers remaining open going forward must enforce the action.

Sanitising stations have also been set up for cleaning trollies and baskets.

Morrisons is also putting up perspex screens to protect check out staff, and providing extra cleaning at its petrol station.
