All football games at Verwood Town FC are suspended for the foreseeable future following advice from the Football Association.
In a statement, the FA recommends that all grassroots football games should not be played, meaning all games in the Sydenhams League (Wessex) will not be going ahead, including those for Verwood Town, plus Verwood Town Ladies Team.
The club tweeted a message saying: “Saturdays won’t be the same for a while! We hope to see you all again soon, stay safe.”
There’s no news on when the matches will return, but we’ll bring you any further updates as we get them.
The club’s 100+ Year Anniversary Event at the Verwood Hub planned for March 21st has also been postponed.
