Dates confirmed for Poole Quay Summer Fireworks events

New dates have been announced for this year’s CityFibre Poole Quay Summer Fireworks.

Two minutes of bright green fireworks will mark the beginning of the event, now due to take place every Thursday from 29 July up until and including 2 September.

Free live music, family fun and entertainment will be the backdrop to the quayside event which promises to return bigger and better with a CityFibre Spectacular line up.

There will be a range of themed nights as part of the entertainment, including American, Asian, Carnival, Pirates and Nautical. This latest event forms part of the Festival Coast Live! programme of outdoor activities and events celebrating community, talent, and performance.

Councillor Beverley Dunlop, Lead Member for Cultural Events, Festival Coast Live! and Bournemouth Regeneration, said: “Following the most recent Government announcement, we’ve delayed the start of the CityFibre Poole Quay Summer Fireworks by one week so that we can deliver the full experience, safely.

“Everyone involved in organising this year’s events has gone above and beyond to ensure that residents and visitors can enjoy world-class outdoor entertainment, in line with ongoing government guidelines. We’re really looking forward to hosting this exciting and popular event in this beautiful location.”

Lucy Cooper, City Manager of CityFibre, said: “We have been working incredibly hard alongside our colleagues at BCP Council to provide this year’s sterling entertainment. It is an event we know is so popular with residents and visitors alike which is why we have done all we can to ensure we can deliver six specially themed evenings and the all-important firework displays to all.

“We look forward to meeting residents to explain who CityFibre are and what we do to help everyone understand how we are working towards developing much-needed digital infrastructure in the town. It is our privilege to be able to sponsor this year’s summer spectacular.”
