The current A338 northbound on-slip road at Blackwater West is now closed pending a revised road layout and new slip road opening this weekend.
Temporary three-way traffic lights will be in operation for lane closures over five nights this week, from today, Monday 24 February up to and including Friday 28 February from 8pm until 6am.
Throughout these works the northbound on slip to the A338 from the B3073 will be closed, with single lane traffic running through the junction.
During these closures surfacing works will take place to create the new A338 on-slip northbound and a revised junction layout.
If you are travelling through the area or taking overnight flights from Bournemouth Airport next, please consider allowing extra time for your journey.
Work started on the B3073 Blackwater West Junction improvements on 1 July 2019. The scheme is currently running on schedule for completion in Spring 2020.
