A tree has blown over on the B3081 Ringwood Road in Verwood due to severe weather conditions.
The tree is blocking both sides of the main road in and out of Verwood between Woodlinken Drive and Lake Road, but motorists are currently using The Chase as a short diversion.
Emergency services are on the scene and the road is expected to be blocked for some time.
There are no reports of any injuries.
Further afield, there are reports of numerous collisions in the A338 between Ringwood and Bournemouth, in addition to flooding. Police are advising people to only travel if absolutely necessary.
